| Telephone Preference Service (TPS) scam Well spoken male foreign voice asked if I could confirm my name and if I paid the phone bill. ALWAYS refuse to confirm anything, even if they say your name, and ask who they are. Make them ID themselves first. They said they were from the TPS. They then asked if I was responsible for the phone. I said it wasn’t my phone. Then they asked if my credit card expired in 2025. I put the phone down. TPS is a UK only thing. They don’t need to know anything about your card and will not ask. TPS does NOT include foreign countries which means that they can call you. This is a scam. | 10 months ago |
